Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Nevada
Eviction
There is an elderly gentleman in the apartment complex where I live that has accused me of being the tenant above him who supposedly has turned off this old gentlemans water and stole money from the old gentleman apartment.
Now I have told this old gentleman that I dont live in his building , which I dont and
that he needs to let the manager know about this or call the police.which he hasn't.
I feel this old guy is lying about the whole thing but I dont appreciate being accused of
something I didnt do (he tells me i look like the tenant above him and I know who he
is talking about and this guy looks nothing like me) and he has also threatened to
shoot me ,throw acid on me and my car , yet I havent said anything to the manager or called the police. this guy is 85 years old but is a nasty old SOB and I believe he needs to be put into a nursing home.
I guess my question to you is if he accuses me again what legal action can I take to
get this gentlman tossed out of the complex and put away into a home or jail??

Re: Eviction
If the old "gentleman" has threatened you with bodily harm, why are you waiting to see if HE reports problems to the police or the apartment manager? I think you should file your own report IMMEDIATELY -- before he actually makes good on any of his threats. You can explain his allegations to the manager, and let him/her investigate the complaints. Better that you make a "trail" (with the police and manager) evidencing his actions, starting NOW, than have to explain your history with this guy AFTER he does something stupid.
