Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nevada

My daughter was driving down the road when a motorcyclist in front of her slammed on his brakes.

She stopped in time. The car behind her stopped in time. The third car back didn't and drove

the 2nd car into her car. We notified the insurance company of the third car and they asked

us to take it to their autobody shop to get the cost of fixing it. The autobody shop gave an estimate of around $500.00.

This accident happened the night before my daughter was flying out to attend university in Canada.

We tried to get her in to see a doctor before her flight left but on short notice couldn't get an appointment.

As she was new to Canada and insurance wouldn't cover her at the start,

it would take 3 weeks before she would be able to see a doctor in Canada.

We told the third car's insurance company this, he told us that if she was in the US they would

pay for her to see a doctor but didn't know how to handle it since she was out of country.

She started school and her back was continuously hurting and many nights she cried herself to sleep.

After the three weeks were up and insurance was active, she went and saw a doctor.

He told her that she was suffering from soft tissue damage and swelling, she should take advil and attend physiotherapy sessions.

She had to pay $67 from her own pocket to get in to see the doctor and would have to pay out of pocket for the sessions.

I received an letter from the third car's insurance company last week that stated

' we believe the accident to be minor and very unlikely to cause the injuries you alleged and offered a one time payment for a doctor visit we re denying your injury claim'

along with a check for $234.00, which doesn't even cover the autobody estimate.

I am wondering if we have a strong enough case to contact a lawyer about my daughter's injury.
