Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nevada
Nevada: I recently paid a settlement amount offered by a hospital to close a bill. Now the debt collection company won't release the lien in place. and yes their is a settlement in the near future.
Question: Can the debt collection company do that once its written off.

The release needs to explicitly state that the hospital will tell its agents, collectors etc that the debt has been paid and settled and that no collection activity may go forward.
