Personal injury question?

and were about to settle, the other driver didnt have ins. so we're sueing or own ins. for uninsured motorist. We had 50K and 5K medpay. Our attorney got a final offer for me 7500 and wife 13500, our lawyer is taking out there 33.3 and she is saying they have to deduct medical bills. This is the problem and question: If the med was already paid to the DR's why is she taking out money again. Didnt our 5K medpay pay for that? Where is that money going if the DRs already got paid?

Some insurance companies deduct from uninsured liability coverage what they pay out for med pay per the insurance.
