Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada
Possible fraud
Almost 2 years ago. A very respected friend of the family came up to me with a investment deal. He explained that he needed to sell his home so he could use the money to fix his credit and what ever financial problems that he had. He asked me to buy his home and in one year he would buy it back. He ensured me that he would buy it back and not ruin my credit. Everything went down hill when a checked bounced and I was not very happy. They started acting funny when they noticed that I was no longer letting them have control of the situation. They stopped paying the mortgage all together. I could not or cannot do anything because I let them stay on the deed to show that that I was not going to try to take anything away from them. Now the home is in foreclosure, and my credit is ruined. I am trying to find out what I need to do. There is more to it then just what I have written but I cannot put that all in this email. I have started a case on these people but I stopped using the lawyer that I had because I felt that I was not being represented properly(Please no offense to any lawyer that reads this) I am not sure what steps I need to take because now I have to represent myself and I don't think I can. Some advice I need it pleas

Re: Possible fraud
You should hire a new lawyer. Just because you had a bad lawyer doesn't mean you should try to represent yourself, especially because you said that you don't think you can do it. Write down what you didn't like about your lawyer and ask your new lawyer the appropriate questions. ie. How long does he take to return phone calls, etc.
Re: Possible fraud
You definitely don't want to do this alone because you got yourself into this mess and obviously didn't realize what you were asked to do is to give away all that money.
