Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada
Hi,
my house is in foreclosure. I live in Nevada. I received "notice of default" in May this year. We were expecting "notice of trustee sale" sometime in August but haven't seen it yet. I checked with the county record and it is not filed there yet neither.
The other day, I received a mail from a "auction delay service", and the mail indicated that my house is going to be auctioned on September 15th. Can this be true? I thought the trustee is required to send "notice of trustee sale" 20 days before the actual auction date. The mail looked little suspicious.
My question is ... how can I confirm the auction date without "notice of trustee sales". My original plan was to wait for the notice to come and then look for a rental place. Can I still wait for the notice to come before making any actions?
Thank you in advance for your help
Mary

The notice of sale must be mailed 20 days before the auction. You know how the mail is..slow. Unfortunately, the law doesn't require that you receive the notice 20 days before the auction takes place.
Hope this perspective helps!
