R.E. Lein on L.V. residental property
I live in Fla. my x lives in L.V. In our divorce two yrs ago he was supposed to give me x amt.of $$. He was to pay me within 2 yrs but hasn't. Said he hasn't the money. In the meantime he has just fixed up a lovely home. How can I get this money ? Can I put a Lein on his home and if so how can I do this from Fla?? Also he might have put his home into a Trust Account would that make a difference??

You'd have to get a judgment lien and record it on the property.

Go to Google.com and put in "Clark County, Nevada, Assessor's Office." That will get you to a website where you can search homes in Clark County (county Las Vegas is in) by address or name. You will find out how the home is titled and what trust deeds are already on it. Then you can go to zillow.com and get an estimate of the value of the house. When you say that your ex was supposed to pay you, I assume you have a court order? Once you know some specific facts about the "lovely home" it will be easier to answer your question.
