Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

Not paying taxes on a home

My father in law in the owner of the house my husband and I live in and we are currently the tenants. as agreed, we would pay the mortgage and they would pay the quarterly taxes. We just found out that they haven't payed the taxes all year long because my father in law lost his job. What happens next? Will they lose the house?
