If a person breaks an apartment lease in Nevada and the apartment is rented to another tenant within a week and a walk through was completed, are they allowed to send the first tenant to collections for the entire lease?

Under Nevada law, a landlord is required to mitigate any claimed damages resulting from the breach of a rental agreement. A landlord is further required to account for any security deposit within thirty (3) days of the end of a tenancy. Your attorney can explain further.
