Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

I took out a personal loan for $6,000 in my name for him when we were together. So that he could get a car to get to work in. He only made the first 2 payments and then stopped. I continued making the payments.. eventually we split. He still hasn't made payments. He has a new job. The car is in his moms name and they won't give it to me so I can sell it to pay off the loan. They all know I got the loan out to pay for the car and that he was suposed to pay me back. I just never got anything in writing. He is now avoiding me. Won't answer my calls or texts. I'm going crazy! I'm basically throwing money away every month. I can't afford my own living expenses because of this. I know it is my fault for trusting him. But love is blind. Any help? I really want to sue him, but I don't know if it's even possible since the car is not in my name... please help???

You don't need to have the car in your name. You have an oral contract for the $6,000. Take him to small claims. The Las Vegas Justice Court website has all the information you need.
