Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

Real estate law

I was recently informed by an officer of the court in Las Vegas, NV that a person who has been diagnosed with dementia and who is illirate that it is a felony for that person to enter into a real estate contract to either purchase or sell a home.

I ask this because my mother is as described above, and I want to make certain all-legal aspects have been complied with because my mother is contemplating selling her home.

Thank you,

Re: Real estate law

If your mother is mentally competent, i.e., she signs knowingly, willingily and freely, she can sell her house. If she is incompetent the contract may be void and senior abuse may take place if undue influence or coercion is used to force her to sign the papers.
