Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

renters in a HOA

what protection/recourse do I have from being harrassed by the HOA because I am a renter? there was an incident that a vistor of mine supposedly blocked an emergenccy vehicle from getting 2 a resident but they never provided a plate #. They plan on making the owner evict me or fines of up to $10k will be imposed. The owner is having to come to NV from CA before they will give him proof that it was my visitor. I can prove it was not my visitor. The person they believe it was lives in a 24hr guard gated community.

Re: renters in a HOA

As a renter your right are all through your landlord as thr HOA has no contract with you. You are bound by the CC & Rs and the rules while you live there but the owner only has standing to challenge the Board, not you.
