Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada
shared mortgage
My ex-boyfriend and I own the house I reside in. He broke up with me, moved out, and left me with the mortgage(it's in both of our names). I was the bread winner and paid all of the bills in addition to my half of the mortgage while we were together. We agreed that I was going to keep the house b/c he can't afford it on his own. This was before I changed jobs. Now, I can't afford the monthly payments on my own. Is he legally obligated to pay half of the mortgage even though he moved out?

Re: shared mortgage
Vis a vis the mortgage compnay you are both responsible for the mortgage. In Nevada you would be considered joint venturerers in the house and should each pay half the mortgage even if he moves out.
