Re: trash collector company

Normally trash is a city service that you have no option but to accept. I would start by asking the trash company if they are city licensed or a private company. If they are city licensed, then you probably have very little, if any, recourse. If they are a private comapny, then you should be able to discontinue their services. Of course, you will have to find a way to dispose of your trash on those few days that you are out there.

Re: trash collector company

I'm not a NV attorney, but I can tell you that here in California we have the same thing. Trash is billed to a house regardless of whether or not it is used. It has to do with arrangements the Cities make with trash collectors. There is a reason the mafia is always associated with trash collection in the movies - its a racket no matter how you look at it!

Re: trash collector company

Like it or not, houses get billed for trash collection. It doesn't matter how much or little trash you generate. Consider it a tax and pay it. Las Vegas is not like a minority of places that bill per unit of trash.
