Filthy Language
The question I have is regarding the use of filthy language being used on the job. This language is used by other emplyoees while discussing things with me, while these employees are talking about others, while they talking on the phone or with someone in thier office, or in the hall etc. The language they use is very filthy and is uncalled for. Is the use of this type of language in a public office considered sexual harassment. If so how do I go about filing charges against the employees who continue to use this filth in their conversations with me.

"Filthy language" can be, but is not always, sexual harassment. What might be acceptable to all employees on the loading dock might not be welcome by all employees in the front office, or vice versa. The first thing any employee should do when they are subjected to unwelcome sexual words, deeds or actions is to complain. Most companies today have sexual harassment policies (and every company should have one) that will tell employees who to complain to. Follow your company's policy. If there is no policy complain to your boss and/or the human resources department. If the unwelcome behavior continues after you complain, then you can think about filing a charge.
