Doing business in the US
I work for a company out of India. We intend to sell services through our website to US customers. Do I have to incorporate in the US? My research tells me no. Even if we dont incorporate, we would expect to pay taxes. What taxes am I liable for and how would one pay them?

Re: Doing business in the US
If you have no personal assets in the U.S., it will be hard to attach them to collect on a judgment. You would be liable for India employment taxes, if any. I would need to do research as to whether sales taxes would be required. If it is strictly service, there would be no sales tax.
However, I would be need to be retained to give you a definitive answer and this answer does not make an attorney/client relationship.

There are several tax consequences for doing business in the United States although not incorporated here. You would need to register as a foreign corporation. Additionally, state sales taxes are to paid on personal property that is sold in various states, or use taxes would need to be paid by the purchaser. Furthermore, there are various provisions in the federal tax code that are applicable to this situation. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any services.
