Legal Question in Tax Law in Nevada

Responsibility for Prior Taxes Owed

I live in Nevada and just found out my fiance hasn't paid taxes in 5 years and doesn't intend to due to his belief that the government is unlawfully taxing citizens. How do I protect myself and my finances? Can I file separately? Should I keep my maiden name. How does this affect any joint accounts or future purchased property?

You will need to file seperately, have a nuptial agreement, and keep seperate accounts. You still may have difficulties. It would be better for him to clear up the past and begin filing. Many people believe what he does, but the law does not follow that position and there is absolutely no indication of any change.
