Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Contesting a will

I am the first born daughter of a VERY rich man - now an unknown step daughter has come into the picture, not even sure if she was born before or after me - Dad is very ill, and supposedly has altzheimers - I have been advised that he has assigned his entire will over to her! How hard/expensive is it to contest a will? do I have any rights as a first born child? he's in CA, I'm in NV

Re: Contesting a will

You should expect to pay at least $10,000 to contest the will plus whatever a medical expert would charge. Have you seen any will at all? Have you talked to his doctors?

He can change his will but the issue is whether he was under an undue influence.

By the way, I am licensed in both Nevada and California.
