Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

left out

my father made a family trust in 1996 when he became sick.my step mother is trustee.my father died in 1998. my self and my brother both whom are adults had reguested to see the family trust when my father died. we were told by the attorney that made the trust that we were not allowed to view this.

in recordered documents the house that my father had, the ownership states our familys name........family trust with step other as trustee.

i just found out that the house was sold in apirl. we had no idea of the sale.

before my father dies he told me he has given a third of everything to myself third to my brother and third to step mother.there was also a 401 k plan devided up the same way. we received our shares what we think were are shares because we were un able to see anything my father had signed. according to the attorney.

how do i know what was in the family trust?how do i find out?are we entitled to any money from the sale of the house.

thank you

Re: left out

You file a lawsuit against your step-mother. That's what you do! You use Jurisdictionary's methods to obtain a copy of the trust and SEE what it says. Good luck.
