Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Owner of property died, but relative continued to pay property taxes for 25 year

My mom's uncle died 25 years ago and didn't have a chance to write a will. He owned land that she has paid the property taxes on since his death, for the past 25 years. Title is in his name, with my mom's name and address as the forwarding info for his mail. I guess the state is unaware of her uncle's death. Is she legally entitled to this land since she has kept his account open by paying the property taxes? If so, what does she need to do to get this property transferred into her name? She has proof of these payments. What else is needed?

if she has been occupying the property she may have a claim. she needs to speak to a real estate lawyer in the state where the property is.
