The person who wants the will to be valid has to file a petition with a copy of the will attached asking the court to accept the will and appoint an executor or administrator. There is hearing. Notice should be given to people named in the will and people who would inherit if there is no will. If you object you or your lawyer can go to that hearing.

If no one else is bringing the will to the attention of the court and you would inherit if there is no will, you can initiate the probate proceeding by asking the court to probate the property as is there is no valid will. You would attach the will to your petition and in the petition state the reasons why you believe the will is invalid.
