Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Triggering Successor Trustee & Attorney Notification Upon Death

In my living trust and pour over will, I will be leaving all assets to charities. Unfortunately, I have the misfortune of having very greedy relatives who would be more than happy to have my estate settled as if it were intestate.

My concern is how to be assured that the successor trustee and attorney be notified in the event of my death.

I cannot depend on friends to carry out notification, and I am not aware of any registry which would trigger notification of the successor trustee.

How can I ensure notification, and not be viewed as being intestate, in that relatives would most assuredly destroy any documents they found in my house that would deprive them of my assets?

Normally you give a copy of your full trust to both your Successor Trustee and your attorney. You can also record your trust with the County Recorder.
