Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Do I Still Need A Will?

My partner (of 38 years) and I do NOT have a will drawn for us. However, we have NO real estate and ONLY have our financial assets invested in two banks: in one bank my partner is the primary investor in a ''money market'' account (I am included as secondary investor); in the other bank we hold a ''joint'' money market account. Upon death of one of us, can anyone contest these accounts? In other words, are we safe with these investments without fear of outside probate or should we still establish a will?

My partner insists we're okay but I would like professional advice. Thank you for your reply!

Re: Do I Still Need A Will?

I would suggest you both have living trusts naming one another as beneficiaries. This is what most long term partners do.
