Re: Wills or Trusts?

A Will doesn't become effective until you die.

With a living Trust, you put all your property into the trust now, and although you have access to it, it's not in your name and technically is no longer yours.

I did this for my Dad - his checking account says "Wednesday Lunch Living Trust" (yes, he chose the name), and boy does he get strange looks at the grocery store when he tries to write a check.

If you would like to have a living trust prepared, and you live in Clark County, please call my office for an appointment.
