Legal Question in Workers Comp in Nevada

Lumbar fusion

My husband was injured on 06/07 in Las Vegas,NV .Come to find out he had 2 herniated disks in his lower back .At that point we contacted a lawyer. Was put on light duty for 2 months with very strict restrictions. And in August put out on disability on WC.The doctor wanted to try a steroid shot before we went any further. But it only made things worse. On November 1 he had L4-L5 L5-S1 lumbar fusion and he is only 25 years old.Recovery has been real rough,we do not feel like we have a good case and I think it is because our lawyer treats him like a number and that his case is not that good.Should we/can we switch lawyers at this point ?What is your opinion on our case? Thank you.

Re: Lumbar fusion

Thank you for your inquiry.

I am concerned about the facts as explained in your case. It seems like your husband's case has been accepted for his lumbar spine. However, there is some question to me whether the Insurer approved the fusion surgery performed. If they have approved the surgery I believe your husband's claim is moving forward acceptably. Upon recovery your husband will expect to receive a Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) rating related to that fusion.

If you are litigating over claim acceptance of the lumbar spine or the fusion surgery your attorney should be actively litigating those issues for you.

I would be willing to speak with you regarding your case. My office handles worker's compensation matters and I speak directly with all my clients.

Feel free to contact my office to schedule a free consultation.
