Re: timesheet marked uninjured

Hello.

Under Nevada Law you have seven days from the date you were injured on the job to provide notice of the injury to your employer. This should be done by filling out a so-called C-1 "Notice of Injury" form. However, if this did not happen within the required time, there are certain excuse provisions in the law that may protect you.

Also, within 90 days of the date of injury you should see a physician and have a C-4 "Claim for Compensation" completed by the physician.

Ultimately, if you provided notice to your employer and you had a doctor complete a C-4 form you basically complied with the law. The timesheet is irrelevant for purposes of the insurance company determining your eligibility for work comp benefits.
