Legal Question in Banking Law in New Hampshire

vehicle payment

My son purchased a motorcycle a few years back and I co-signed. He lost his job and the bike was stolen. He's not made a payment in months. The bank contacted me and I told them I have no problem paying for the bike, but I can only afford $25 to $50 a month. They are threatening to take $100 payment from my wages. Can they do this even though I've verbally offered a dozen times to make payments, but at my comfort level? They've not sent me any information for repayment process per my request during the phone conversations.
