Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Hampshire

Bankruptcy- Length of time on credit report?

Dear Sir or Madam:

I filed bankruptcy in 1991 and it was discharged in Oct. of that year. At that time I understood that this bankruptcy would remain on my credit report for a length of only 7 years.

It has been about 7 1/2 years now and this still remains on my credit report.

Did the the law change to 10 years after 1991 or was I misinformed by my lawyer at that time?

If the law changed after 1991 or I was misinformed, do I have any recourse to remove this from my credit report?

Thank-you for your time.

It has been 10 years for a long time. There is no way to remove this from your credit report.
