Legal Question in Business Law in New Hampshire

business partners disputing ?

I bought a business with a partner, not married, both live on property, I invested the bulk of financials of the investment. The relationship has gone bad, partner making poor judgements and embarrassing me with heavy drinking problem. Do I have any legal rights that I can access to protect business & serve partner to leave home that is part of business? We are 50/50 partners to business & property. I am highly concerned that my partners past & current actions are jeopordising everthing.

The first question is do you have any kind of written partnership agreement? That will detail many of your rights.

There still is a lot of information needed before I could properly advise.

There are many ways to approach this problem. In order to fully evaluate what might work, I would need to review your partnership agreement, the books of the business, and the details of the dispute.

In some cases one partner makes an offer to "buy out" the other. In some cases we need to go to court for a judicial determination as to rights. In some cases the judge may force a sale of the business and then a division of the assets.

I would urge that you retain an attorney to review all of the facts and details so that an appropriate approach may be crafted to get to an end result before the business fails.
