Legal Question in Business Law in New Hampshire
Our Employee used our contacts and products to compete with our company
Hi, I own a company that does most of it's business with on line sales. A few years ago I hired a person to oversee my shipping and phone calls. Last December I discovered that she had been using my contacts with companies and buying the same products behind my back. She then built herself a website and ebay store to undercut my on line pricing. All while under my employ.
I did not have anything in writing to say that she was not allowed to back stab our company, but she had been verbally told it was not allowed.

You don't need something in writing to stop this kind of activity (known in legal parlance as "misappropriation of trade secrets", "unfair and deceptive trade practices", and various other things). You should consult with an attorney to discuss the particular facts of your situation and develop a strategy for solving the problems you raise.
