Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Hampshire

Crazy neigbors

My friend runs a horse back riding business in town. Her neighbor for the past 6 years has been continuously complaining about the business. The town, in response to her many complaints has mandated that she teach only during certain times, teach using walkie talkies and headsets, post her teaching hours on the road, etc. Recently, the neighbor has been walking the fence line clapping to get her dogs to bark, jumping up and down on a trampoline while clapping, banging pots and pans, blaring the radio... in hopes to distract and scare the horses, (which occasionally it does, posing a risk to the many children that are taught there). Would a cease and desist order work here to get her to stop her obsessive and distracting behavior since it is interfering with business. How would we get one? If not, what would you suggest? Thank you

Re: Crazy neigbors

Cease and desist, certainly. Tortious interference with business, trespass, these are several of the strategies your horse-riding person might consider to get the neighbor to stop.

Consult a local attorney on this one, and deal with it firmly, but remember the neighbors will still be neighbors after all is done.
