Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New Hampshire

What are the checks and balances among the branches of government?

I am a graudate student taking a business law class and need help with the above question in reference to checks and balances among the branches of government as outlined in the Constitution. I am also interested in knowing what are the primarily differences between those powers of the federal government versus the state government. You are essentially asking us to teach you the entire content of both a basic civics class and an introductory course in American government. This site is not designed for such questions and I doubt any of us would be willing to devote so much time and effort to a single answer. You can find what you need in your local library; the librarians will be more than willing to help you select the best books for your needs.
