Legal Question in Consumer Law in New Hampshire
I won a gift certificate through a radio show from a builder. I have the job ready and the day of the build came and went and all I received was excuses why he didn't show up. If I decide to get the job done elsewhere, can I get my monetary deposit and the face value of the gift certificate?

Perhaps. But you must take certain steps first to protect yourself. You might also be able to have your attorneys fees and costs paid by the defendant under RSA 358-A. http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/XXXI/358-A/358-A-10.htm
It is important for you to consult with a consumer protection attorney before taking any action so that you don't prejudice yourself or hamper any future legal claims that you may have.
