Lease Contracts

In 1998 my husband got his Ford truck reposessed. Ford then said they actioned the truck, so now my husband owes $6700.00. We have asked them to send us a breakdown of how they came to this figure and they never sent us one. I want to know if my husband owes this full amount? I don't get how they lost any money since it was a lease and would have been returned to them anyway. It has been 8 yrs. now and they just started calling and threatening us again. How should I handle this?

Possible that the Statute of Limitations has run. You should consult a lawyer directly.
