Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Hampshire

So I've Been Summoned

I received a summons for a past debt, that's a few months shy of the SOL. Incidently the collectors are also calling me to offer me a payment plan. Now considering I know I do owe this debt, I'm willing to pay it, and I'm very interested in the payment plan(although I didn't tell them this). What should I ask them to do to cover myself, besides sending me an offer in writing through the mail? Do I also have to inform the courts that I''m corresponding with said plaintiff?

Thanking You In Advance

Natasha

Re: So I've Been Summoned

Assuming that you have given all of the needed information (and no insult, I assure you, it is almost impossible for a person to give ALL of the critical information in a posting like this), then you may want to consider the following ideas.

If you wish to fight this lawsuit, You MUST file a written Answer in proper form and file it with the court clerk in proper fashion, and pay the fee for filing your answer. There are instructions on the lawsuit that was given to you. You may get assistance from the court clerk. Do it before the time limit expires.

An attorney may be able to assist you in trying to resolve this. If you would like, give me a call to set up an appointment; I am in northern New Jersey. My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.
