Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Hampshire
5'2 Girl Slaps Grown Man and Is Facing Jail Time?
Seems so silly to me, but I slapped my former step-uncle across the face after he made verbal threats to me and ''crowded'' me. I slapped him across his face, but when I informed the officer that I wanted to press charges, we agreed that if I left the property in PC, no charges would be made. This happened in Ossipee, NH; I live in Massachusetts. I returned home the following morning and found out, nearly a year later, that an arrest warrant had been issued a little less than a month later. After attending a guardianship hearing for my alzheimer's aunt, the plaintiff found out I was in town and called the police on me and my cousin. The officer pulled me and my cousin over for a report of a possbile DUI and informed them that there was an arrest warrant for the passenger (Me). Not knowing ANYTHING about any complaints or warrants, I was dumbfounded. It turns out that my uncle BY MARRIAGE filed a complaint after I went back home to Massachusetts. Now I am going to court for a Class A Simple Assault charge! I'm terrified....am I going to jail for this?

This is a New Hampshire question.
You should get a good criminal defense attorney. If you need one, I can recommend one.
From what you say, you have some good facts, and the complainant may have some bad ones.
good luck.
