Was he formally charged?
He has the right to remain silent and has the right to an attorney. He should not speak with anyone, whether it's school officials or the police, without consulting with an attorney. If he is formally charged you/he should seek the guidance of an attorney familiar with juvenile law and the delinquency he's charged with.
