Re: To own a firearm in NH
NH Law prohibits a person convicted of a felony from possession of a firearm.
In addition, federal law prohibits possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The grade of a felony is not determined by the sentence but by the potential sentence (B 3 1/2 - 7 and A 7 1/2 - 15).
You should consult with a lawyer before possessing a firearm, the law in this area is depends on the facts. In addition, you should consider seeking overturn the conviction, MA convictions of that time period often did not comply w/ constitutional law.
