Fraud ID theft
Once a lender gives you a 1099C cancellation of debt and forgives the loan, can the lender still pursue legal and criminal actions against you. I have already paid the IRS for the taxes on the 1099C?

Pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code, a lender is required to issue a 1099-C after forgiving a debt.
