What is the procedure of police officers?

When being stopped by a police officer, what is the proper procedure for giving a ticket? Do they HAVE to ask for registration? What if the year of the vehicle that was stopped is the incorrect year, because the officer did not ask for registration? Is there any kind of safety net for this type of case?

I really don't understand your question, becasue I don't know what the entire situation was. You should talk to a lawyer in person, so both of you can discuss the situation in full detail. If you can't afford a lawyer, try either Legal Aid or the Public Defender.
