It's hard to predict what the judge will do - every judge, court, and prosecutor is different.

The best thing to do for now is not to speak with anyone about this charge, especially the police if they try to interview you. You should obtain a lawyer if you can afford it. If you can't afford a lawyer, and the charge against you is a class A misdemeanor or greater, the court will appoint a lawyer to represent when you appear at your arraignment (which is your first court date).

Good luck.
