dwi
what is the difference/benefit to pleading no contest vs. guilty at the arraignment. I do not have an attorney and will be speaking on my own behalf.

Re: dwi
The general reason to plead no contest is to minimize the use of a guilty plea in a subsequent civil action. The charge of DWI has many penalites and you need to be very careful before you enter any plea. It would be well worthwhile to speak with an attorney about your case before you make any decision. Often there are many legal options to raise a defense or work toward a negotiated disposition. There is far more on the table than a fine and loss of license!
