Legal Question in DUI Law in New Hampshire

Pre-Served Loss of Liscence...

I got arrested for a DUI back in July and blew a breathalizer of a .14. I didn't have a trial until Janruary. I plead guilty and my liscence is suspended for one year. But, I already haven't had a liscence for 6 months. Is there any way to get the DMV and/or the state to count that time towards the one year loss?

Re: Pre-Served Loss of Liscence...

The first license suspension was an administrative suspension that you got for blowing over .08. Now, the court has also handed down a suspension based on the criminal grounds. The two are not related. Generally, if you take the breathalyzer the suspensions are concurrent; however, your first suspension is probably over while your second one is just beginning. The one year loss seems like a long time, check your documents to make sure you have a thorough understanding of how the suspension works. Bottom line; no, the prior suspension can't be credited to your newer suspension.
