Do my rights need to be read if arrested for DWI? I did not have my rights read before I got arrested

You're probably referring to your "Miranda rights." The short answer is no, the police do not need to read you your rights prior to arresting you. They technically don't ever need to read you your "Miranda rights", but if they don't they can't use anything you say against you.

With a DWI there are other very important rights that can significantly impact the outcome of your case as well as your license status. I would consult an attorney to assess whether your rights were properly protected.
