Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Alimony - Cohabitation

I divorced in Jan of 2000. He has physical custody of our 3 kids. I agreed to pay alimony to my X for 3 years. (yes it's backwards) I am paying him because I worked and he was home for 8 years. Anyhow, he now has a new 'live in' relationship. Can I get the alimony removed? I agreed to pay it, when it was only him and based on his income combined with my child support, he needed it. Now with a new fully employeed 'live in' partner, I feel he no longer deserves alimony from me. Looking for other opinions.

Re: Alimony - Cohabitation

If the two of you entered into an agreement and signed the agreement which stated that you would pay a certain amount to him if he lived alone then you should file a modification since there has been a change in circumstances.
