getting back personal property
I recently broke up with my girlfriend and at the time of the break up I was able to get clothes and my van but 2 days after the break up she filed a temporary restraining order in which the judge gave her temporary use of my car they had a police standby the car and myself were back at my parents house in a different town I did want to add that when I got my clothes and van there was police on the scene per my request , the matter went to court and even with an attorney my ex was denied the restraining order so I with out an attorney present thought that I would get my car back but when we left the courtroom that day we were seperated by parties when leaving the courthouse I watched as my my ex and her family got into my van and leave I have tried to get my van back and so far I have not had success the van never is at my ex's or at her work and I did file a motion to try to get it back and it was denied I thought that if the judge who gave my property away could help get it back the police will only do a standby and thats if we find my van I have had to quit my job since moving back with my parents walking to work is out of the question can you help me?

If the van is titled in your name and has not been returned, file a stolen motor vehicle report. Also, use of a motor vehicle, without authority, is a criminal offense.
