Child Support
Child support, need to know how and what is the best way to change what is being taken out of my check. I am only making about 26% of what I was making at my previous job and the state has attached my check for 60% of my income. I am in a very low paying job and this leaves me with only $100 week for me to live off of. What can I do and how do I go about this? Thank you.

You need to go to the family court where the order was entered and file a request for modification. Any party may seek a modification of a support order upon showing a "substantial" change in the financial condition of one of the parties. The child support guidelines will apply to modifications of a support order. You will also want to provide the court with an up-to-date financial affidavit. As a seperate note depending on how long your order has been in place, any child support order is modifiable every three years without the need to show change in circumstances.
