Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire
Child support and Divorce in two different states.
I reside in New Hampshire while my ex is till in Colorado. I applied for Divorce(which is almost final) in New Hampshire. I have a USO stating what my ex needs to pay in child support and back child support. Back child support has almost reached $8,000.00. I have been assigned a ''case worker'' who has told me point blank,''she hates my case and never should have gotten it'' that there isn't much she can do to help because my ex is self employed and lives in another state. What can I do?

Re: Child support and Divorce in two different states.
The NH Division of Child Support has an interstate unit that should be able to do an interstate wage withholding as well as enforce your arrearage with the Colorado office of child support. It is untrue that there is nothing they can do. I would speak to your case worker about getting your case transfered to the NH DCSS interstate unit.
