Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

child support

in the field of child support is it a legal contract between two parents who are seperating if the child support is verbally agreed upon before the seperation? And would child support be more for a child who has autism issues?

Re: child support

There are many ways to address this problem. I'd need more background to provide a specific response. However, the general rule is that child support is a calculation based upon statutory guidelines. Variaition from the guidelines can be obtained if you meet specific criteria in the statute. Generally a private agreement between parents is not sufficient for the Court unless there is adequate explaination provided to the Court. Any change or variation to child support should be approved by the Court. Medical conditions, as you noted, may be considered in computing child support.
