Child Support

What are my options when holding my ex-husband in contempt for not paying child support for over a month? He is court ordered to do so.

Re: Child Support

Your facts are a little thin for a proper response. I would need more detail.

However, if you do have a contempt order from the court you may request a further court hearing at which the court can impose penalties up to and including incarceration. If you are simply claiming that he is a month behind in support, you may request assistance from the child support enforcement office. Check with the court where your divorce decree was issued for specifics.

As always with personal legal matters, it may be a good idea to consult with an attorney who can examine all the facts and provide you with a more comprehensive response.
